A legacy built on experience. Shaped for what’s next.
An Ecuadorian family business transforming bananas and other fruits into ingredients for the food industry since 1967.
1967where our story began
Rooted in the land. Driven by what comes next.
PEBSA’s story began in 1967, or perhaps even earlier. Rooted in a family deeply connected to agriculture, land and bananas, PEBSA was driven by a vision to transform Ecuadorian fruit into products for international markets.
Bananas quickly became an important part of that journey, with the company developing an early specialization in dried bananas while also producing preserves from a variety of fruits.
As markets evolved, so did PEBSA. Growing customer expectations pushed us forward, investing in our people, processes, product portfolio and distribution capabilities.
Legacy is not simply about where we come from. It is the knowledge that helps us shape what comes next.

Through it all, one thing has remained constant. Knowledge has been passed down and strengthened across generations, relationships have been built for the long term, and many of the people behind PEBSA have grown alongside the company.
That same sense of connection extends to the local community we call home and where many members of our team live, a relationship that has grown stronger over decades.
Where it all started: bananas, land and hands-on knowledge.
